Game addiction

At midnight on the 4th I queued in a ridiculous line to lay-buy a X-Box 360. (That shopping experience is another story altogether I can share later) As the thing cost so much, it shall be the group Christmas gift for the family but I told The Man that wasn't fair as I'm not really a gamer. Well he said that anyone could easily turn into be a gamer, I admit I was one in the past and so he went out and bought The Sims 2 on PSP to fire up my gaming attitude - bugger all to hell, I'm addicted to the stupid game!

Whats psp? A umber of people said the Simms might be something I like. Can you tell me more? I'm alwys the one saying the the boys, stop playing games, boys never grow up etc etc. Now hubby wors alot and son play world of War Craft. But we an xbox here somewhere - just not plugged in. Or I could get a new one if there is a big difference. With my life being a veyr busy, and I also have some personal issues that I have no idea how to handle right now, I would be SOOOOO glad for a game diversion. Please tell me what its like. Would it just as good with the older Xbox? WHats this game like? What do you do? How do you play? Is it connected to the internet? Oh so many questions.

You now I often look at the SImms game. But looking at the cover it looks... um..stoopid. What is aboutit that makes it addictive? Do you try to get points, or earn money, or buy real estate.... how is it not boring? What do youlok forward to in it?

I'm not sure where to post this one, so I'll pick a post at semi-random...it's the response to your Burley question:

I really like my Burley - although it's an older one, and bigger than the Bee. But if I was buying a new one, I'd buy something smaller and lighter, like a bee, particuarly as I don't use mine as a stroller (although once upon a time I did). That's usually a big issue - whether you intend to push kids in it as well as pull them - the Bee won't do that. The Burleys break down in about a minute as well - that's very nice. I even break it down to store it in the garage to save space. Be careful about whether it has been rolled, as that can mess them up. And if you get one, and it keeps getting flats - that's a known issue on some of them. I'll forward a message to my bike group and see if anyone there has a preference (although it can take a few days to get an answer).

About the flats:
Sadly, we bought the Burley Bee with high expecations and hopes only to have them dashed by a persistent inner-tube popping problem. The composite wheels on the Bee cause some kind of friction with the inner tubes resulting in a pop. We've taken it for about 10 rides and have replaced some 6 inner tubes. We just had our retailer replace the wheels and didn't even get them on the Bee when the inner tube popped. The Bee is going to be returned and no mor Burley for us.

Comments from The Staff:

In the middle of last year (2005) Burley received a bad batch of composite wheels from one of their suppliers. A small number of trailers were shipped from Burley before they discovered the problem. The problem is characterized by inner-tubes popping consistently or the tires blowing off of the rims during normal use and when the tire pressure is at the recommended 35 lbs or less. Customers who have a Burley Bee trailer with this problem should return the wheels to their dealer for a replacement set. If you bought this Bee from us, call us and we'll get that taken care of.

Thanks for bringing this up! Burley is well aware and has addressed the issue with integrity.
