Honey! I'm home!

I think that all readers should take note that during the summer holidays I am no longer the Boring SAHM but turn into some house slave, I'm not sure how fine a line of difference there is but basically what little time I have to myself I try and use for sleep!

So Scooter - I haven't moved, although I think some of that snow of yours looks mighty inviting, but I'm still here. We were away though, for about 3 weeks. Then there was an extended stay in the hospital with Big Man and so when I did get a chance my RSS feeds where in the hundreds and although I'm the worlds worst speed reader I think I have caught up on most of my blogger favourite friends. I have to put you all first before I begin to blog again.

But surely I've had a chance to use my Mac? Of course I have but it's use was to ascertain funds to buy a Wii. The kids have decided that although Santa was very generous in supplying them with an X-Box 360 and numerous games that he must have missed one of their letters and forgotten to get them a Wii (he didn't forgot, he thought is was unnecessary) but as the rainy days of our holiday grew and the indescribable fighting over the X-Box, we thought..."hmm, yes the Wii could have some positives." I like the fact that the games require you to move and I was dragged in (not screaming) into becoming addicted to the Nintendo DS Big Brain game - By the way I have a brain age of a 25 year old, not bad for a non-working house slave! Anyway, I noted they sold brain games on the Wii and so I think the kids turned me into "I want a Wii too"

Lack of funds and back to what I was getting at:
So The Man and I decided the kids would have to work, sell and save for there wanted Wii, and so we began the 2 point system, $1 for good behaviour, $1 for chores - so far the boys have a accrued a total of $15 via this method, what does that say about my kids! The 2nd way was Ebay, and for them to ditch there childish toys to move onward to their goal of a bigger more expensive childish toy. Current results $265 and I must say I'm proud of them giving up their entire Thomas the tank Engine collection.

So I've sold, Tomy Thomas, Take Along Thomas, Thomas books, My first Thomas, Thomas DVD's, Thomas posters/paintings, Remote controlled Thomas and I threw in my George Foreman as I never used it. Oh my little men are growing, I think I'm sad at the loss of Thomas more then them. I have hung onto one small die cast Thomas, I can see my future when I'm grey haired and lacking in intelligence (no not tomorrow) and remembering the good old days!

Cheers to you Thomas, you were a good mate!

I think I've bored you enough for now, I shall be back and shall report on my very wet and miserable holiday.

Best of all news - School goes back tomorrow! Worst news - I gain 4 kilo's.
