Disheartened

Everything is getting me down lately.
* I'm having trouble losing weight I once already lost, thus meaning I gained weight when I should have known better.
* I start to get back into things and go and twist my knee and it's is driving me nuts not being able to do all the things I want.
* I have a cold that seems to never leave me 100% and come's back to haunt me on a weekly basis.
* The boys have coughs that have been around for the last 3 weeks.
* The boys don't take anything serious and I'm getting tired of going this sporting event to the next to watch my kids just do nothing, Little Man got told to stop eating his toe nails and Big Little Man had to do 20 push-ups for talking in Kung Fu yesterday, oh I just hang my head in shame, where did I go wrong to become such a hopeless parent?

The sport thing is driving me up the wall the most, we spend so much time and money on them and they just don't put any real effort. I told The Man yesterday that we could be on a holiday in Fiji right now, soaking up the sun if we saved the money we forked out on kids extra curricular activities. Do kids really need to do them? Isn't school enough?

Seriously, I feel like I could take them bike riding for and 1 hour every other day and see them having more exercise then a soccer match. I can do pilates and yoga (stretching) and teach them like the do at Kung Fu. So far after a month of class they have not learnt any self defense or discipline. I can kick a soccer ball around a field with them and miss the parent politics and the boys would actually get to have a "go" (praise the lord!)

I quit!

Pokemon Invasion

Yesterday was big Little Man's 7th Birthday and as he is currently obsessed with all things Pokemon and 99% of his gift's revolved around this theme.

I'm happy he LOVES them but I'm being tortured reading the Pokedex and using the net to find ways to catch better ones... someone save me!

Happy Birthday Big Little man!!

My health kick is hopeless when I keep baking...

New family portrait

The Man and I wanted to put a family portrait in the games room, but I have never like those professional studio jobs, this is what we came up with...

It was his idea to mount pictures on to a skateboard deck as he was collecting others and liked the look of boards on the wall after seeing it on Rob and Big (although he had about 60 boards on his wall). I designed the photo's of us in the pop art style.

We like it, other comments are positive too, what do you think?

Big Little Man Bestie Update

The poor fellow has found himself in the hospital for the 3rd time, I feel sorry for him now. His mother and I blame the hospital and feel that they missed something (maybe a med) at the time of the surgery as he has infection after infection and can not seem to get over having his tonsils out.

Kung Fu Panda = Kung Fu classes

Kids! I wonder how many other parents have had to find Martial arts classes so their kids could "ha-ya!"

We have enrolled both boys at Kung Fu Academy, so far they both love it and it is the cutest thing to see Little Man kicking and punching.

Sadly the venue is freezing, it is literally like a fridge in the dojo but this may be only my point of view as I just sit there and I have a general hate of the cold. In saying this I bet the dojo in summer is an oven, I shall have to wait and see.

I opened my mouth again

Yet again I couldn't keep my opinion to myself and I spoke up at a soccer match and respectively got my head bitten off. I knew I was going to get my head bitten off and was rather okay with it but then at the end of the game the assistant coach, (which proved to me that my thoughts that the coach has no balls) told the entire team off, yes the kids and then the parents about how we should not interfere with the game on the sidelines, that "coach" offers his time (his oh so precious time) to train the kids and should not be taken for granted by those people who don't come to training.

Now I was the only one who interfered so why tell off everyone? Everyone else are good little lemmings and sit back and bow down to all that coach say's, why not just reprimand me again? Fear that the masses will revolt?

Now the issue was that one little girl was on the sidelines for well over the first half, so I screamed out, "Let her play", they ignored me 3 times, so I just ignored them and told the little lady to go on the field and have fun. So by the end of the game we are all told that if you don't turn up to training to expect not to play the first half of a game - PLEASE! These are 6 year old kids, how can they get themselves to training? why punish them if their parents can't get them to training, this is not the Socceroo's! This poor little lady's parents are divorced, she is all over the place in any given week, her dad is getting re-married and he mother works late but let's not take this into consideration that she missed 1 (yes- ONE) training session and just crucify her and her mother at the match - pathetic!

I was not surprised to find out the following week that her parents have pulled her from the side, I have horrible guilt about her & her mother being blamed for some strange rule (and I have now discovered that no such rule exists) because it was my fault for bringing the subject forward that they favor certain players over others. Would I do it again? Yes absolutely but I would have defended them at the end of the game and then pulled my own son out.

We haven't pulled Big Little Man out even though he has begged to leave the team (that shows how much fun he has) as I want him to learn commitment, he made the decision to do this (we never made him, he asked to play soccer) and now must finish it, although The Man and I are very lax and if he is feeling tired and wants to miss a game here and there, no stress!

Take care "Little Soccer Lady" you were a great player!

The Man's PC HDD Meltdown

Absolutely loving my new iMac (gloating a bit) when The Man spits the dummy because his PC will not turn over at all, a few weird click click sounds from the system tells us that something is amiss. Called the PC brother and he advised that the click clicks are the sound of death to his HDD.

The Man is not happy - you only realise how much you lose once it's gone, so true is that saying!

Makes me so happy I have my own system as he never backs anything up!

It's been a while...

sorry to my very few blogger readers, but I have just been either so tired or busy that poor boringsahm fell to the wayside.

Let's a have a recap:

I bought my new iMac! It was an ebay purchase in the end and so cost me about the 1/3 of a new one. It's not the flash Intel 2 Core Duo, but has heaps of HD space and 1 gig Ram which I can upgrade up to 4 gig if I want too!

Took about 4 days to have it completely set up the way that I wanted, thank goodness I had my old Mac side by side with it as it was all the little things (like fonts) that I had forgotten to backup. The kids now have the old Mac, and their old PC was wiped cleaned and passed onto a cousin.
