Micheal Buble ROCKS

Last night we went to see Micheal Buble in concert at The Sydney Entertainment center, I love this guy, his voice and singing is like fine red wine and dark chocolate, ohh yeah and his concert absolutley rocked!

What an entertainer, you could not wipe the smile off my face for the entire show, he made us laugh, big belly laughs too and get up and dance. A few years back we wanted to see him at the Sydney Opera House and gawked at the ticket prices and then regretted ever since, when he annouced this new tour we bought tickets the moment they were available. He sang all his classics and new peices from the new album, he sounds better live then his albums and that just prooves how great I think he is, he just oozes natural talent.

I have to praise his band also, nothing bet's a screaming trumpet. I was in the best mood all night and am still having after effects, let's just say the Man enjoyed the after effects!

The support act was this amazing group who use there voices to mimic the sounds of instruments and it was such a unique and beautiful sound. The were called Naturally 7, here is a clip from you tube:

I like and will have to grab the album.

But this man, I have all of his music. He is touring OZ at the moment and if you can grab a ticket, GO! He is worth every dollar and you are gaureenteed a great evening. If I could go again I would and when he is back, I'll go again!

This man gives me fever...

It's time to stop procrastinating

Yes, that is exactly what I have been doing since the last post, procrastinating and doing a wonderful job of it too!

But now I feel I really have to take things seriously or I will slip into my very bad habits and the weight that I gain will be permanent. At the end of next month it will also be the anniversary of losing my weight, so in general I try to be the same weight that I was in 2006, last year I did and I hope this year I can also.

I need to shift 4.6kilo's but a nice even 5 would be good as there is always an amount of bounce back.

I feel I need a goal, something to aim for. I lost weight not only because I wanted to but because my SIL and I made a joke to be "better looking then the bride" at an upcoming family wedding. She lost 15 kilo's and looked great but couldn't make it to the wedding, I shocked myself by loving exercise and good food and lost 20 kilo's.

Last year I was still rebounding off my initial loses and lost another 5 kilo's even though there was no goal to aim for. But this year I think I need something to strive for. I have tried to aim at being fitter or be a certain BF% but as it is so hard to calculate either I just fail. I mean I feel fit now even though I'm a heavier.

So what do I aim for?

Whilst thinking of that I decided to go and exercise, I FINALLY had a morning to myself and so after dropping the kids off to school and a decent breakfast, I hit the footpath and moved...and it felt great!

390cals burnt
9.3km's @ ave 6.5km/h (thanks to the navman)
1h 20m
1km of jogging @ 10.2km/h

Lot's of big hills to climb on the route I took, fingers are a bit club like at the moment but overall I'm happy.

Snooze

I love the snooze button on my alarm clock, I just wish I didn't have to use it so much. How nice mornings would be if I could just wake up naturally, at say 10am!

Check out my skilful nephew:

Over illness

I'm onto day 13 of dealing with sick males and I'm reallIy ready to crack, I'm ready to make an appointment with the doctor just so I can sit and have 20 minutes conversation with a healthy person. Enough snot, puke, strange smells, dirty laundry, groaning, moaning, night waking, coughing, and the endless need for me to do everything!

And the worst of it all is that when I get sick, they all tell me "I'm fine and to battle on" hmpf!

Next Blog>>

Decided to go blog surfing again tonight, you know, just happily click on "Next blog>>" until I stumble on an interesting blog. I think I will make this a monthly event as I love it so much. I just wish blogger would offer a translate button as I bump into so many wonderful blogs in other languages, some I can decipher and so can go to a translate site, but so many I have no idea what language they are. I guess that is just the dumb in me.

This in my "Next Blog>> of the night": Me and my Narrowboat, 'Cosmos'

Hmm, enough Next Blog>> I think, after an hour of it, it just reminds me how boring my life is.

Note to self: Pretty beaded bracelet, must bead-lift.

Happy Mothers Day!

It's a very typical mother's day here for me, The Man is working nightshift, so no fancy breakfast or dinner and Big Little Man is sick with some mysterious illness that has him moaning and groaning all day long. But I must say that the little demons were little angels and remembered and gave me the little gifts they they made/bought at school, I feel loved and that is the main thing!

I was a bit of a hero on Friday, the old Burmese lady from next door locked herself out and I used my high skills in break and enter and managed to get her back in her home after about 30 minutes. Thankfully my tiny hand was able to fit through a crack in the door where a chain went from one side to the other, I was able to undo the screws. My wrist is completely bruised from the position it was in, but hey, you do what you have too to rescue a neighbour. I was rewarded with boxes of Jatz crackers and loads "oh thankyou", lovely feeling.

Facebook

In the past I was never into the "My Space" and "Facebook" although I did join them I always found it very hard to keep up with as The Man would not like it and so like this blog had to be a secret (I believe he has heaps of self confidence issues, he thinks I shall find the man of my dreams on one of those site but he is the man of my dreams - getting that through to him even after 11 years is hard work). But for some strange turn of events The Man wanted to find his old school friends and so joined Facebook and so that allowed me to do so again but this time with freedom.

I never got it before, didn't see it's purpose, still don't really but this time it seems fun and friends are chatting which I like. Who would have guessed hey?

Focus on the true players

Sadly in my son's soccer side he is considered one of the lesser player's, now you all most likely know how I have described his
athletic attributes and so it's no surprise he is not the prized
player of his team, but what is sad is that unlike another team sport
he has been in that was meant "for fun" and "just for kids" they are all about winning and so he and 2 other kids are left on the bench most of the game.

The coach say's that they start on the bench so that they can learn via watching their team mates but as far as I was aware the only way to really learn anything is to get in there and do it. The Man thinks it's a joke as the entire team of 6 year olds all can't play, as 6
year olds do, that they out there to be with their friends, to have
fun, get some physical activity and just feel part of a team.

I'm currently the team photographer and webpage host. I just snap away
at whom ever has the ball and any good moments but because it's always the "strong" players on the field longer then the "learners", 90% of
the photo's are of them, so at tomorrow's game I'm going to highlight the true players of the team even if they are on the field for 10min.
I have a quick shutter and can assure at least 30 quality shot's of
the best 3 players of the team, those kids who really want to be there
even though they know they aren't the best.

Update: I couldn't make it to the match as Little Man is down and out with a horrible cough but The Man took Big Little Man. He called and said one "strong" player was late so they had to put a "learner" player on first up, but as soon as that "strong" player arrived they pulled the other player off the field, The Man said he looked heart broken. Why can't they just let them play!
