I wasn't going to and I doubt I have the time, but I have created another blog to simple track my "10 x 10 to better Health" goal.
It really isn't worth reading but more for myself to talk specifically about dieting, exercise and the boring stuff. I know I'm boring here too but it's about all the other boring stuff in my very boring life so let's not complicate it to much.
And as I can't help myself I shall be creating a blinking to point to it as soon as I can muster my butt to do something other then browse the net!
Good news, school goes back tomorrow and the sun has been shining all weekend. (For those not trapped in Sydney,Australia, it has been nothing but rain for the last 3 weeks and for the entire 2 weeks of Autumn holidays - it has been a long long fortnight!) We did manage to get out and about once though and I shall post some photo's soon!

10 x 10 to better health
Yeah yeah, once again I am aiming to get back into my healthy self and hopefully shift these 5 kilo's that have haunted me since returning from Christmas in QLD. I know I will succeed this time as I have a buddy who I can chat, whine and share general experiences with. This worked for me last time and I think it will again.
So what is 10 x 10? As I am so essentially lazy and can find an excuse for everything, I am just going to start by concentrating on 10 things and then see if I can build on that, so this is this weeks 10x10:
1 Aerobic Ex x 10 minutes
2 Aerobic Ex x 10 minutes
3 Aerobic Ex x 10 minutes
4 Push-ups x 10
5 Sit-ups x 10
6 Lunges x 10
7 Squates x 10
8 2 lt of h2o (200ml glasses x 10)
9 Knit 10 rows of my current knit project
10 Book - read 10 pages of my current novel
We are also going to punish ourselves if we diet sin, we are kind so 2 sin's are allowable, then as follows:
Sins-
3 = 10 more sit-ups
4 = 20 more sit-ups
5 = 30 more sit-ups
6 = 40 more sit-ups
7 = 50 more sit-ups
8 = 60 more sit-ups
9 = 70 more sit-ups
10 = 100 more sit-ups
Over 10 sin's = "10 x 10" x 2 plus addition sin sit-ups (ouch!)
I have put this here so I don't forget. I see that I shall have some hot ab's by the end of this but also will need a trip to the confessional!

Blinkies
I have added another Blinkie, I forgot to mention that the U7 Hurricanes one is Big Little Man's soccer side, (if you haven't already guessed) and the reason it is there is because I created the web site!
I'm so proud of myself, thanks to Scrappity of course for teaching me, but I think I've done very well for a basic website.
She is also the one that tought me how to make Blinkies, which are rather easy and fun to do, I'm sure they can get super technical as I've seen a few that fade in a very fancy animations, but I'm happy with the few I've created. I went a little nuts with the Jenson one and thinking I may need a Keanu one too, it will mostly be made once I get a chance to see Street Kings. ANYWAY...And so I have made and added one for Little Man's & I playgroup, it's my last year with them and I'm feeling rather sentimental about them as I have made some great friendships over the 7 years I have been there and I know I will really miss them when Little Man goes off to school next year.

Branded v Generic Products
In my recent effort to earn funds for my new computer, I have been part taking in some market research focus groups (and it's not low level porn) and the last 2 have been about supermarkets improving their packaging to entice purchases to their generic products or what we call here, "home brand" - the brand with the same name as the store.
Even before becoming a single income family, we happily used generic products, I never really felt that they had huge differences in quality, yes some things do, but in general, the quality is closely equal. Even wikipedia tends to agrees with me "Generic brand products are often of equal quality as a branded product, however, the quality may change suddenly in either direction with no change in the packaging if the supplier for the product changes." And so I thought that the general population was like me, some products are great branded, like chocolate, but in general the staples, like flour, block butter etc was just as good in the generic products, but now after these focus groups, I feel I'm sort of alone.
The feeling I got was that people prefer branded products and only use generic for non food items, like foil, paper bags etc, so it made me feel a little cheap or very money conscious, not just a budgeter but a miser...well who cares, because look what I make with generic products:
And there is never even a crumb left, so it can't be all that bad...or I wonder how great it would be with branded products?

3 things I loved about yesterday
At the time I didn't have too much love flowing through me so I never posted my loves of the day, but Lissy Jo made me see that having the loves after the hates makes it all cancel out.
1. Hearing my favourite song on the radio at just the right moment (like after telling the kids to stop fighting for the umpteenth time)
2. Drifting to sleep with the deep breaths of The Man beside me (when he works night shift I never sleep as well)
3. Coming home after a day at a friends, there really is no place like home!

3 things I hate about today
1. Picking up dog poo after heavy rain
2. Burning my tongue after the first spoon of a delicious bowl of soup (thus meaning the rest of the bowl tastes like nothing)
3. Stepping in #1 because I was whining and not concentrating.
Share with me bloggers, what were your top 3 "hate" things of today or if your one of those always positive people, share your top "loves" of the day.

Shadow Lugia
Oh the wonderful innocence of children or the easy manipulation!
Big Little Man is currently obsessed with Pokemon (he has moved on from Bionicles & Transformers although is slightly obsessed with them when the mood suits him) and although I wish to be the parent that gives him what he desires, I simply can only afford the little $1 packets, but when the need be and he has too, yes as in "I HAVE to HAVE it YESTERDAY MUM, Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" and so I thank the Internet and the printer and some plastic contact.
So this $25US card (yes, 1 card cost $25US), I click, copy, print (all with watermark still attached) and bingo, one very pleased son!
I also made my very own Pokemon card, must scan it and show you all, it's called "Noisikoto" Pokemon of disastrous noise! Strangely it looks like Big Little Man, sadly he doesn't like that card!
No let's hope the Pokemon police don't come after me...

Diet tips by BoringSAHM - #1
You can not lose weight eating vegemite, banana and grilled cheese
croissant's especially when the cheese is Camembert and I don't think
the croissant is the best choice of bread either.

The $50/Lemon Meringue Bet
So The Man offers me a way to make $50 and to get me back into my exercise, We have made a bet to see who can lose 3 kilo's first, if I win I get $50 to go toward my iMac savings, if he wins: Lemon Meringue pies to the equivalent of $50. Now that could be quite a few Lemon Meringues so I better win, I need the cash and I really do need to lose 3 kilo's! The bet started on Monday and on Tuesday I was already 1.4 kg down but this morning I bounced back with a 600g gain, what is that all about?
Yeah Yeah I know, don't weight in daily!
On other things, my ebay selling is going quite well but today I discovered that I made a very stupid error and sent the wrong bank details to a winner, I just want to sent the item and admit my error and assume the loss, but The Man said that the winner has an obligation to pay. As I see it they did pay, I gave them the wrong details so clearly this is not their fault. I did check with the bank though and the wrong account doesn't exist so the winner's payment should bounce back. I told them I would sent the item anyway and if they could do the right thing and send me my payment (minus any fee's) when the money is back in their account. That's fair, isn't it? Let's hope they do the right thing and send me part of my payment, I would if that happened to me.
Oh well, stupid me, must have been super brain dead that day (you know, more then usual!)
