Listening to my favourite radio station Novathis morning the 2 host were in complete outrage and advising people of the new very un-Australian rule the "goodie two shoes" have place on the upcoming Bathurt 1000, and what is it you ask? They have set a limit of 1 (one) slab of beer per person (24 beers), the outrage!! - that's 6 beers per person over 4 days, OMG how is an Australian man to survive?

Jo whilst initially i was complete outrage as well but then having a think about it, it is for everyone's safety. I think it is particularly for those that stay on the Mountain as it isn't the safest place at night when most of the blokes are so drunk they are rude and down right disgusting. To the point it is not safe for a woman to walk around at night by themselves on the mountain at night.
It is good to see they are finally doing something for people's safety.
How do you limit how much beer is available? Can't you just go into town, get beer - drink it there - and come back?
I wonder if my father in law knows about this....Bathurst is his home town!
I don't have a problem with the rule at all, I just thought is was so funny to hear how people were carrying on about it.
Personally can any woman walk safely at night anywhere anymore? And any woman staying on the mountain is pretty game to me.
My brother works for the NSW police and let's guess where all the banned alcohol in going???
Scooter - you don't leave the mountain, that's has to be un- Australian! They have check points everywhere I'm told, so if you were to come back blind drunk they wouldn't let you back in.
I'm not a hug drinker, but I have to say 6 beers a day for 4 days is not much - not for a major weekend. But it would stop people going around majorly drunk. But maybe they will end up with really drunk people on day one. No-one around as they sleep it off on day 2. Very unfun depressed dudes on day 3 and day 4 all depressed dudes go home sulking that the weekend sucked. HEHEHE Big hug, Miss you, Send me Bead photos when you make something!
